Meet Kat, our new Office Coordinator in Christchurch. Kat lives in Waimairi Beach with her partner of 23 years, Richard and their dog Leroy. She has been in Christchurch all her life except for a year in England and ten years in Wellington. Kat’s background is in library and community work. Her other job is at Mental Health Advocacy and Peer Support (MHAPS), where she has worked since 2012. She started off on reception then became a peer support worker. More recently Kat has been doing a variety of tasks and projects such as information and resource work, editing, social media etc. In her spare time Kat enjoys a bit of yoga, reading, punning (more of an affliction than a hobby!), dog walks with friends, and fundraising for two dog charities by selling her artwork, which you can see on her two Facebook pages: “Art for Dogwatch” and “How Greyt Thou Art”.
